#13 Certain situations require certain strengths. Often you will have to exercise self control. Be it when the swallowing of rage is required or even when upholding patience. When you find yourself in the midst of such circumstances, it will be difficult. It will be a struggle. Sometimes you may even feel a sense of brokenness within you. Because really your heart breaks when someone hurts you or angers you, and you have to control your anger and exert yourself in patience. Hence when you fight the urge to retaliate, you are breaking your Nafs too. And that's something which needs breaking. By overcoming the urge to retaliate, you will gain a sense of control over yourself, and this is extremely important for your own spiritual growth.

#11 Don't let your circumstance become such that despite Allah giving you numerous blessings, you forget to acknowledge Him - as a result of which He snatches your blessings away. Remember, if you show Him gratitude and humility, then He will only increase you in favour and what better blessing can there be than that?

#12 In many aspects of life you will undergo some or many forms of tribulation. Although you may perceive these circumstances to be unfortunate, you must realise that perhaps in them lies your salvation. It may not seem or even feel good, but really it is the best thing for you. And you may not see it today, but you will see it one day. Be hopeful, be patient for times of trials do pass.

Gems.of.jannah.10

#10 Never underestimate the status of an individual, for you do not perceive what Allah perceives. The goodness which Allah sees in them may not manifest before your eyes, but that doesn't give you the right to assume that they don't have any good within them. Someone may appear to be "bad" yet Allah may enable them to repent and die a good death. Whereas another may appear to be "good" yet Allah will prevent them from having a good death. Don't limit good or even bad to the boundaries of your mind. Both qualities are vast and we aren't always capable of comprehending their existence in other individuals.

#9 Being young and youthful means having the strength, the desire, and the selfish nature to do as you wish. However when you turn your strength and youth towards the obedience of Allah, and sacrifice the fulfillment of selfish desires, you will achieve His love and He will grant you honour. He will make you amongst those who are granted shade beneath His throne, on that day when there will be no shade besides His. And what a great honour that will be. So is that not worth sacrificing youthful desires for?

Rasa ini

Rasa ini
Adakalanya menenangkan
Adakalanya memberi harapan
Adakalanya menggembirakan
Adakalanya menaikkan semangat
Adakalanya memusnah impian
Adakalanya menakutkan
Adakalanya menggelisahkan

Pernah
Aku rasa
Untuk membunuh rasa ini
Ya Allah........

#7 Come in to recognition of your status in the sight of Allah, for it is only then that you will truly know your own value. He took you from the earth and created you, having fashioned you in the most perfect way, you will however return to the soil - from beneath which you were previously taken out. And the earth is a humble piece of land so be humble like the earth, for in such humility will you find recognition by Allah, and who can humiliate the one who is recognised by The Most Honorable being?

#6 Difficult is only that which you make difficult. Sometimes you have to change your perspective. Change your mindset. Look through a different window, the view isn't always the same. The simplest thing can appear difficult if you make it so. And the most difficult thing can appear easy if you make it so.  It's all about you and your mentality towards a specific matter. Believe in yourself because you are capable of all things. Don't put yourself down, for you're standing today because you took the first step. If you as a child had perceived the first step to be something scary or difficult, then you would not be walking today. So bear the mindset of the child who is willing to take risks and holds blinding faith, because without risks there shall be no achievements.

#5 Being optimistic is a quality found in a rare few. You will find only a handful of people who are optimistic in every aspect of life. Be it in terms of examinations, or calamities, or times of ease and comfort. Only some can maintain this quality during all states and circumstances because it can easily slip through your fingers during a calamity. So when you find such people, hold on to them because they will help you maintain positivity during unbearable moments. And if you can't find such people then strive to be the best of them.

He who hopes for good will undoubtedly find it.

#4 Allah advises us many a time in the Quran. One of the most profound pieces of advice found in the Quran, is that in which Allah says "And seek assistance through patience and prayer."

This is simply one of the most comprehensive pieces of advice available. Allah counsels so many individuals through this verse.

Allah is telling us that we must be patient, and He begins with patience because we need it in every aspect of life. Thereafter Allah mentions salah because that too will help you in removing your distress. Some Mufassireen say that here Salah refers to Salatul Haajat (The prayer of needs.) And the Patience mentioned here refers to fasting.

This verse was initially in reference to the Jews of Banu Israeel. Allah was telling them that they must fast, to abstain from the world. And that they must pray, to remove this pride and love for leadership from their hearts.

And in this is a lesson for us too. Patience and prayer. Two qualities which we must implement within our lives. Through them we will acquire abstinence, humility and most importantly the love of Allah.
